Carme Colomina
Journalist, lecturer and researcher
Researcher specialising in the European Union, disinformation and global politics at the Barcelona
Centre for International Affairs (CIDOB), as well as editor and member of its Editorial Board. She is also an associate lecturer at the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium, where she teaches a course on communication management in the European Union, and at Pompeu Fabra University (UPF).
With a degree in Information Sciences from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and a postgraduate course in European Union Studies from the Open University of Catalonia (UOC), she has been a correspondent in Brussels and, subsequently, head of the international section at Catalunya Ràdio and the newspaper Ara.
She is also a regular contributor to various media. As a special envoy, she has covered international summits and political conflicts in some 20 countries, and has worked as a consultant on several communication projects at the European and Euro-Mediterranean levels. Before joining CIDOB, she was also responsible for interregional cooperation in the Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
